Education
I hold a law degree (Licenciatura en Derecho) from Universidad Autónoma Gabriel
René Moreno (2018–2022), where I graduated with the highest grade average in my
class at programme, faculty and university level, among approximately one hundred
and twenty thousand students. I began my legal studies at Universidad Católica
Boliviana San Pablo (2015–2017), where I ranked first in the law programme until
my transfer.
Since August 2026 I have been pursuing a Master’s in International Law and
Integration at Universidad Andina Simón Bolívar, the academic institution of the
Andean Integration System, with an emphasis on international law, trade and
regional integration, and international dispute settlement.
Practice
Since 2023 I have been part of Moreno Baldivieso Estudio de Abogados. As an
Associate, I advise domestic and international companies on company law, contract,
corporate and complex dispute resolution matters, from an integrated legal and
technological perspective, with a focus on highly complex transactions and deal
structuring.
Notable matters include the legal analysis that made a large-scale capital increase
implemented through negotiable instruments viable, resolving the questions of
validity and structuring on which it depended. I have also led the analysis of
potential conflicts of interest among shareholders of major corporations, assessing
the corporate governance implications and the fiduciary duties involved.
As co-head of the litigation practice in the Santa Cruz office (2023–2025), I
designed and implemented strategies for high-value civil and commercial litigation,
including enforcement and debt-recovery proceedings, achieving favourable outcomes
and excellent client evaluations. Among my significant matters, I defended a
corporate client in criminal proceedings arising from a shareholder dispute
connected with the enforcement of negotiable instruments; the strategy brought
company law and civil and commercial arguments to bear in the criminal forum,
securing a favourable outcome for the client.
I was also responsible for the legal analysis and strategic assessment of a matter
concerning the termination of a major road infrastructure construction contract —
one of the most complex and costly matters of its kind — which required a thorough
assessment of contingencies from constitutional, civil, criminal and administrative
law perspectives.
On the regulatory and international side, I prepared a regulatory analysis of the
biotechnology sector for a regional multilateral development organisation, which
was well received. I also lead the firm’s implementation of the leading artificial
intelligence solutions in the legal field, exploring practical applications of
generative artificial intelligence in legal practice.
Earlier I completed an internship in the corporate practice of Dentons Guevara &
Gutiérrez (2022) and worked as a legal assistant in the corporate practice of
Garrón Bozo Abogados (2017), focusing on the drafting of civil and commercial
contracts and on handling proceedings before various institutions.
Arbitration
I have prior experience as an analyst in arbitrations administered by the CAINCO
Commercial Conciliation and Arbitration Centre (2022), under the mentorship of
practising arbitrators, with a solid grounding in alternative dispute resolution.
I have remained actively engaged with the arbitration community ever since.
Teaching
I have taught at university level since 2022. I have lectured in Commercial Law,
Civil Procedure and the Thesis Workshop at Universidad Autónoma Gabriel René
Moreno; Administrative Law and Municipal Law at Unifranz; and Constitutional
Procedural Law and Constitutional Law at Utepsa and Universidad NUR. Previously I
served as a teaching assistant in Banking Law, Civil Litigation Practice and Legal
Research.
Distinctions
I received the Academic Excellence Scholarship of the Instituto de Desarrollo
Humano at Universidad Autónoma Gabriel René Moreno for five consecutive years,
ranking first on three of those occasions, and held a research scholarship from the
same institute.
